Continuing on the flight case theme, this will be the first of at least three similar "tall" rack flight cases on offer. This particular case is the most heavy duty of the three and would be ideally suited to housing lighting dimmer racks, power distribution panels or audio amplifiers.
The dimensions are; 97 cm x 52 cm x 69 cm, which is a substantial size, do bear in mind that this is quite a large item to fit in a car and will weigh a lot once fully loaded.
The case is constructed from heavy duty ply, covered in a satin black, plastic finish.
It has 8 large recessed industrial grade butterfly catches, no fewer than 12 spring loaded recessed flip handles, heavy duty ball corners, wheel boards with 8 x 100mm castors and industry standard non-marking castors. Those on the back panel are in very good condition, those on the base are serviceable.
Both the front and rear covers can be removed, the rear cover is fitted with castors in addition to the base. This has the advantage that the unit can be moved around on stage in its normal orientation, but also be moved safely "on its back" whilst in transit. It is so robust that you can place additional items on the case and use it as handy trolley for your load ins and outs.
21 Unit high rack strips are fitted to both the front and rear sections. The top has 4 riveted studs that enabled a sub-rack to be mounted securely on top.
There may be some light surface patina and bits of wear and tear, but everything still works as it should.
They are no corporate branding logos or
sign writing, there is a tour label on the top.
This type of heavy duty road rack style flight case would cost from £250 upwards new. I have priced it at £120 for a speedy sale, the castors alone would cost around this much.
I can arrange personal delivery for the following cost:
